RUSS CHAPMAN
With lyrical wit and medicine-show sensibility, Russ Chapman stomps and sings highly original music drawn from the deep well of Americana- with a blend of folk-blues, early swing and New Orleans 'swamp music.' Hailed in Nashville as a 'songwriter's songwriter,' and now residing in tiny Paonia, Colorado, Russ has recorded and performed with multiple Grammy winners, including members of Ricky Skagg's Kentucky Thunder, Jim Lauderdale's band, and America's favorite cowboys- Riders in the Sky.
ELIZABETH ROSE TRIO
Songwriter, singer, pianist, Elizabeth Rose starred in the currently running Fearless at fearless.msn.com. Her band tours as a solo, duo, trio, or four piece ensemble. Rose's live shows include bass, drums and sax.
AFROBEAT MINIONS
Local band Afrobeat Minions is led by Mancos based percussionist extraordinaire, Bradley Hoessle. Their repertoire spans afrobeat to latin to rock n roll covers. Bottom line - get ready to dance.
THE TIJERINA BAND
For over a decade guitarist/singer/songwriter, Todd Tijerina, (Tee-her-ee-na) has steadily made a living playing his fierce brand of cutting edge blues-rock in Chicago and the Southwest as Tijerina's (formerly The Todd Tijerina Band) guitarist/singer. In addition to front man duties, a three year stint in Chicago ('97 - '00) offered opportunities to work as guitarist for such artists as internationally revered bluesman, Byther Smith, the legendary Harmonica Hinds, and BB's daughter, Shirley King. It was during this time in the Windy City that Todd and his band won Chicagoland's Rory's Blues Talent Competition 1999 which featured 35 acts from across the US. The victory funded recording expenses for the group's 2000 release, The Lowdown. Since then the band has released three more albums, Welcome Home in 2004, Now in 2006, and Meant To Be in 2010.
FLOBOTS
Headlining the 2011 Dolores River Festival is nationally renowned, Denver based band the Flobots. When a pair of intelligent, visionary emcees joins forces with a battle-hardened, groove-fusing rhythm section, and a classically trained violist the result is a sound that explores and expands the frontiers of live hip-hop. Progressive in both style and message, the band’s ability to drop from symphonic rock-infused crescendos into stripped-down string-laden breakbeats has earned Flobots a reputation for both originality and authenticity. "Creating positive change by harnessing the power of music and those who love it," is their mission. Get ready, Dolores!!
